Digital Gateway will protect more open space for public benefit than the Data Center Overlay

FACT:

Over the last 20 years we have lost over 15,000 acres to 10 acre home development without the preservation of a single acre for public benefit.

Digital Gateway will permanently protect over 800 acres of open space (over 1/3 of the total) by establishing parks, reforested buffers, undisturbed natural areas and an extension of the Catharpin Greenway trail and wildlife corridor.

Data Centers in the Data Center Overlay do not incorporate any more than 1/5th of their land as open space.

Data Centers in Digital Gateway will incorporate over 1/3rd of the total acreage as open space.
